Where can you get my music? There are various ways. My preferred method is Bandcamp. It gives me the highest percentage of the proceeds, it gives you lots of formats to choose from, and you can create an account and show off your collection to other music fans. If you want to help a struggling artist, the best way is to buy some of their music, stream their music as much as you can on Spotify or Amazon, and share it with your friends through social media.
For more detailed info about different formats, see below:
CD / Vinyl
Bandcamp (or at a gig!) is the only way to get my music on CD.
Vinyl is not currently available. I’d like to, but it’s very expensive to do this without the help of a record label.
There are various places you can download my music:
Bandcamp: I get 85-90% of the proceeds from each sale. You also get free streaming through the bandcamp app!
iTunes: I get 61% of the proceeds from each sale
Amazon: I get 61% of the proceeds from each sale
Amazon: I get around USD0.0074 per stream
Spotify: I get around USD0.00437 per stream
Youtube: I get around USD0.00074 per stream
I’ve provided information about the income I get from each source, since it does vary quite a lot. This is not to dissuade you from using whatever service you prefer, but simply to help inform your decision if you are trying to decide which music provider is right for you. Here are a couple of articles about the subject if you want to know more.
